What types of products are accepted on the Divi Marketplace?

We accept three types of products on the Divi Marketplace: Divi Child Themes, Divi Extensions and Divi Layouts. A Divi Extension can be any WordPress Plugin built to enhance Divi, or any WordPress plugin that adds new Divi Builder modules. All products are accepted at Elegant Themes’s discretion, and all products must adhere to our Design Guidelines and Developer Guidelines in order to be accepted.

How long does it take for products to be reviewed?

It typically takes ~1 week for a product to be reviewed. This includes design review, QA testing and a line by line code audit by our development team. After review, your product will either by accepted or declined. If your product is accepted, it will become available for purchase in the marketplace immediately. If your product is declined, you will receive an email with the reasons why and you will be invited to submit your product for review again once you have fixed the problems.

Why was my product declined?

There are many reasons why a product might be declined from the Divi Marketplace. Most of these reasons are outlined in our Terms of Service and more specifically in our Design Guidelines and Developer Guidelines. If your product has been declined, you will receive an email detailing our reasons and you will have a chance to submit your product again after you have addressed all of the issues.

How are seller profits paid?

Seller profits are paid out once per month, within 31 days of the end of the month. Payments are made using PayPal only. If you do not have an active PayPal account, you will not be able to withdraw profits from your seller account. An active PayPal account is required for all sellers.

Are there any commission tiers?

There are no commission tiers. All sellers enjoy the same great commission rate of 70%, along with no exclusivity requirements.

What about taxes and withholding?

Sellers who reside outside the United States are subject to tax withholding. The amount of sales tax withheld is dependent on your country’s active tax treaty with the United States. Tax withholding rates can range anywhere from 0-30%. For more information, please see our Taxes and Withhold Information page.

What happens if a customer wants a refund?

All products on the marketplace are sold with a 30 day no-questions-asked refund period. If a customer wants a refund within 30 days of their purchase, that refund will be granted and your account will receive a balance deduction. This is the same policy that Elegant Themes uses, and it’s something that we think is very important.

What if I don’t want to give support using the Divi Marketplace system?

At this time, we require that sellers monitor their marketplace support pages and respond to customers in a timely manner.

Can I remove products from the marketplace?

Yes, you can remove products from the marketplace, but customers who have already purchased your product will retain download access.
